He as well created the side project band named Down. He has a wonderful swimming pool, which is shaped like a Pentagram. When he recovered from the illness, he felt guilty and apologized to all the band members and promised them he would not use drugs. Later on the overdose, he was about to die, at that time his heart stopped for five minutes. In 1995, he became addicted to heroin and he overdosed in 1996.
